Milestones are a favorite for me to capture. I am always asked what age baby should be for their milestone photos, and my answer is simple. There is no specific age for your baby to be to photograph their milestones. We cannot capture an age, we capture the milestone... hence the name Milestone.

So what are the milestones?
~The first is enjoying tummy time and smiling at the same time, and grabbing toes while on their back. They can be rolling at this point, but not sitting.
~The second is the sitting milestone. They should be sitting unassisted, and maybe getting up to crawl. If they are crawling, because some babies to figure out how to crawl pretty soon after they are sitting that is absolutely ok.
~The third is their 1 year (this is the only "age" we capture), but they should be able to stand holding something maybe even taking their first few steps or crawling.

Normally milestone sessions are limited to my newborn clients at a discount, but March is a boring month for me so I thought I would do something fun and do a Milestone Mini day. To give families who usually pass on milestones an opportunity to capture one.
